A unique experience and a complimentary nod to tradition, craftsmanship, gastronomy and nature.
A terrace immersed in nature and on the banks of the Douro River, with views of the pine forest and vineyards. Its name, Calicata [Test Pit], comes from a technical term widely used among wine experts to refer to the land where the vines are planted. It consists of studying the earth using a drill or probe to find out which minerals it contains.
A design inspired by the terroir, where fine and authentic materials such as clay, wood or cork in terracotta, green or brown tones bring the project together.
An ideal destination for foodies and wine tourism lovers, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, where one can enjoy a first-class culinary experience that has the unmistakable mark of Chef Marc Segarra. A subtle culinary proposal based on tradition and innovation that revives the flavours of the land of Castilla y León. Based on produce from the local area and the estate’s own organic vegetable garden, which maintains the essence of the original created by the monks who lived in Abadía Retuerta more than eight centuries ago. And all accompanied either by its own wines or those produced in other regions, a chance to taste and discover their aromas and nuances in order to experience and understand how the climate, the variety of the grape and the land give them their individual character and personality.
Open Friday to Tuesday from 13:15 until 15:30. For group reservations you can call the phone: +34 983 687 600 or send an email to groups@ledomaine.es
